STEP PROGRAM

Unsure about your future?
Your job? Your education?

SBCC Continuing Education has a program to help guide you toward a plan to meet your goals. The program is called "STEP"—an acronym for Steps To Employment Process and Steps To Educational Process.

STEP staff members are available at the Schott Center to help guide students in choosing courses to meet their goals. Advisors meet one-on-one with students to develop individual career and educational plans.

The program has assisted over 9000 students since it began in 1998. Student Services Dean Carole Purdie invites others to participate in this free educational and career guidance program. All services and materials are available in English and in Spanish to accommodate as many students as possible.

The STEP Program collaborates with over 40 other community agencies and can provide the educational component for any group or agency in our community. STEP staff members are available to make community and classroom presentations by request.
