Student Services for Adult Education

Santa Barbara City College’s Adult Education students now have access to free assistance with their education and career goals. These same student services have been available to the College’s credit division students on the SBCC main campus for years. Estos servicios también se ofrecen en español.

  • Educational Planning
  • Career Planning
  • Individual Career Educational Plan
  • Presentations to the Community
  • Assessment Testing
  • Orientation to the College’s credit and noncredit Programs
  • Transfer assistance to Santa Barbara City College
  • Referral to Community Resources
  • Adult High School Counseling
  • One-on-one educational and career Counseling/Advising
Advising is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and evenings by appointment. 

Educational and Career Assessment Testing is also available by appointment Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

At the Schott Center, Student Services is located in the Bath Street wing of the complex in Room 2.

At the Wake Center, Student Services is located in the auditorium area.

Appointments with STEP advisors may be arranged at either the Schott Center or the Wake Center by calling 898-8160 or 683-8260.



Accommodations for Disability

Students who are requesting accommodations on the basis of disability should contact Carmen Lozano, Student Services Director, Schott Center (805) 687-0812, ext. 8121. The Director of Campus Diversity Diane Rodriguez-Kiino, is designated as the District’s ADA/504/508 Coordinator, SBCC Room A-124 (805) 965-0581, ext. 3640.
